Mt Wooroolin Lookout was developed by Kingaroy Shire Council in 1988 as a Bicenntennial project. The mountain is a declared nature reserve and both the lookout and its immediate surroundings are maintained by Kingaroy Shire Council. Mt Wooroolin’s lookout is an elevated viewing platform that offers striking panoramic views across Kingaroy and the areas leading towards Kumbia and the Bunya Mountains in the east (the platform can be accessed by disabled people).

The adjoining parklands at the lookout have limited picnic facilities. These include two covered picnic tables, two uncovered picnic tables (shaded by trees), 2 wood-fired BBQs and 2 garbage bins. There is no water available at the Lookout’s picnic grounds, nor are there any toilet amenities
