My partner booked us in to this lovely, peaceful B&B for some R&R after a week of renovating and working. Best decision ever. Sandy and Chris are wonderful, accommodating hosts and their lovely dog Jess greeted us with her gorgeous big dog smile. I felt at home from the moment we drove up. We stayed in the Diary, one of three lovely cottages. This well appointed, clean cottage had everything we needed with full kitchen facilities, lounge and tv with access to dvds at reception, books and stereo, queen size bed, bathroom with spa (towels supplied) and views out to the rolling country hillside. There was a fireplace in the lounge which we’ll be back in winter to try out.
Views out to the ranges on both sides and the peaceful sounds of the country everywhere. Our breakfast was all fresh, country produce with eggs, bread, jams, spreads, cereals, milk, nuts provided in the room. A nice touch with some Easter eggs and a local complimentary port. If we needed more for our breakfast we only had to ask.
I didn’t miss the city traffic a single moment. We sat in the terraced and well manicured front yard with a wine and completely wound down. Sandy organised a courtesy bus for us to go into Kingaroy for dinner and when it started raining, came to our rescue with a much appreciated umbrella! I love this place. We’ll be back and we have recommended it to friends and family looking for a peaceful place to relax and wind down. Just perfect!
